Member Spotlight: Jen & Erin

ERIN (pictured left) and JEN (pictured right)

Meet April’s Epic Members of the month: Jennifer Cargill & Erin Plischke!
Jennifer (goes by Jen) and Erin (goes by Erin) started with Molly before FUELhouse was a twinkle in her eye. Legend has it, they were Google searching for a 30 day cleanse 9 years ago and that brought them to Molly! The rest has been history :) Currently Jen is working with Coach Dre to dial in her form to avoid pain in her back, and Erin has been working his butt off with Coach Sokol to dial in his form as well. When they’re not working one on one with a coach, you can see them in our group classes as well as finding great success with Molly’s MeTox program. When they’re not at the gym, you can find them slanging the funnies at a stage near you. Keep on reading below to learn more about this dynamic duo. I’m calling this one: “the couple that jokes together, stays together.”

Erin: Mortgages (for now)

What are your hobbies?

Jen: Improv Comedy

Erin: Improv for 25 years with my wife.

What brought you to FH in the first place?

Jen: Google searching for a 30 day cleanse 9 years ago led Erin and I to Molly (Pre- FUEL House)

Erin: We started out doing a cleanse with Molly. She was and is so awesome, we became FH members.

How are we so lucky you picked us (what are your favorite things about FH)?

Jen: Molly, plus all of the coaches there. All bodies and ages are welcome. There is so much support and encouragement and fun things to do. It’s the best gym in Seattle.

Erin: The coaches. They are cool and fun. They each have a unique style and I love that.

What sports or fitness things did you do before FH?

Jen: Basic 24 HR Fitness gym

Erin: 24 Hr. Fitness

What programs are you currently involved in at FH and why?

Jen: 1:1 with Dre right now to get my KB swings down and to avoid hurting my back. She's awesome.

Erin: One on ones with the bad ass Jeff Sokol.

What goals are you working towards and/or what’s on your FH bucket list of things you’d like to accomplish?

Jen: I would like to participate in Simple & Sinister when I feel I am ready

Erin: Continued weight loss and improved health. Also to be bigger than Jeff and Stu one day! Ha!

What makes you commit to training even on days you don't feel like it?

Jen: The after workout high and the days after when you feel so strong and good.

Erin: I’m not getting any younger and would like to stay strong in my old age.

What's your favorite movement/exercise?

Jen: Deadlift

Erin: I like get ups and kettle bell swings.

What have been your “bright spots” (PRs or accomplishments are you most proud of)?

Jen: Doing my first loaded Get Up

Erin: That I have stayed with FUELhouse. My wife and I moved further away from FUELhouse and took a hiatus because of the drive. We missed being a part of the FUELhouse family so much, we realized the drive didn’t matter and we would make it work.

How have these accomplishments affected your life?

Jen: I have always struggled to do these and to feel like you've "graduated" is a good feeling.

Erin: It made me realize that if I want something bad enough, I can figure out a way to do it.

What is on your general bucket list for life?

Jen: Travel Europe!

Erin: To stay happy, to continue getting stronger, and healthier and to get back on my skateboard!

Tell us a little known fact about yourself or what’s something most people don’t know about you?

Jen: When I lived in Austin, I ran the Austin Air Guitar Championships for 3 years

Erin: I was the voice of The Kilgore College Rangerettes.

What's your favorite thing about being a FUELhouse member?

Jen: The community, support, coaches and having friends there

Erin: The constant support and encouragement from all the coaches.

What was your first impression of FH?  How has that changed?

Jen: First impression is the same as my current, Molly started the gym and SUPER clear on what her vision of building a "community" would be and its never wavered.

Erin: That Coach Molly had a great vision. We first started out with Coach Molly working out outside at Gasworks Park because she didn’t have a location yet. My impression hasn’t really changed but, I am so impressed with what her vision has become. Coach Molly has made FUELhouse an inclusive, fun, place for people of all levels. No one deserves it more than her and we all benefit from it.

What advice do you have for new (or experienced!) new friends trying out FH?

Jen: I would jump at the chance for anyone to come check it out because I feel like this is not a "gym" its totally different from any experience anyone would ever have and would make anyone who is hesitant change their mind.

Erin: It doesn’t matter what your experience is working out or where you are health wise. FUELhouse is a place where not only do the coaches want to see you reach your goals but, so does the rest of the FUELhouse family. FUELhouse is an awesome and fun place to achieve these goals so, enjoy the ride.
